Clip 1 - PELVIC MOVEMENT -When we sit on a bike, pelvic stability on seat is all important. All important because your pelvis is the foundation of your position. Your legs reach down from and your torso extends out from your pelvis. Any asymmetries or instability of pelvis on seat flows out to the periphery a whole raft of potential problems. Pelvic instability on a bike is both the most common root cause problem and the toughest to solve on the bike. . . I thought I had seen everything. Have a look at this clip. This gent has the greatest amount of pelvic movement I've ever seen on a bike. He wasn't aware of it but doesn't feel any pain either. I'm amazed!

Clip 2 - PELVIC MOVEMENT -Usually the rider has to accept responsibility for their lack of function and work to address the basic causes which may be leg length difference, neurological inhibitions, overly tight musculature on one side etc. . . Have a look at this second clip This is the greatest amount of pelvic movement I've ever seen on a bike. Amazing!

Clip 3 - COMFORT VERSUS PERFORMANCE -a road racer is constantly shifting their position and changing the intensity of their efforts in a long road race. Hands on the hoods, in the drops, on the tops of the bars etc. Pace goes up, pace drops and then quickens again. By comparison, an Ironman triathlete does not experience the same changes of intensity but remains in more or less one position for long periods of time. Here is an example of what comfort looks like (or more properly, this athletes version of comfort because we all sit on a bike differently depending on our structure, proportion and functionality) This gent, whose name is Lucas, can maintain this position for the 5 hours of an Ironman bike leg and get off in good condition for the run.

Clip 4 - POSTURE DETERMINES STRENGTH - Have a look at one of the best demonstrations of applied posture I've seen - Amazing !
