testimonials "My aches and pains are gone, my power has increased and I feel much better on the bike. I thoroughly recommend this bloke". Michael Hanson
testimonials "I learnt more about myself on the bike in the four hours he spent with me than I ever could going it alone".  Greg McQuaid

Steve and Margaret opened Pedal Pushers in September '89. It was a refuge from the corporate world and a career in teaching respectively. From humble beginnings as a racing oriented bike shop, the business has evolved to where most of Steve's time is spent positioning clients from all parts of Australia, New Zealand, SE Asia and often, much further afield.

Along the way, Steve has moonlighted with Mavic Service des Courses at Olympic, World Championship and World Cup events in triathlon, road racing and mtb as a Neutral Service wheel builder and race mechanic; been Warranty Service Techician for Campagnolo, 3T and Corima; been a regular and controversial columnist for Bicycling Australia magazine; given seminars on rider position at the New Zealand Academy of Sport and National Cycling trade shows; and been voted Best Bike Shop Employee in the state in 2001, '02 and '03 by a national trade magazine.

In July '03, Steve was invited to become a panellist for the Form and Fitness Forum of www.cyclingnews.com , the worlds' busiest cycling related web site.
Despite the rider positioning focus of the business which now occupies 150 square metres of 3rd floor office space, Pedal Pushers still has extensive workshop facilities. "Therapy", Steve calls it, and shares the workshop tasks with long time stalwart Derek Hemsworth. Margaret, meantime, organises Steve and Derek, keeps up the coffee and biscuits, administers the business and adds to the friendly feel of the place.

If you are ever in Sydney on a Friday afternoon, the bar is open a 4.30pm. Red, white, nibbles and 'real beer' is provided.

We produce a free monthly newsletter that is an entertaining read. The idea is that it should take up about 15 minutes of your time and leave you with a smile on your face. If you would like to subscribe, drop an email to pedalpushers@bigpond.com to that effect
